Abstract
Discovery of superconductivity (SC) in quaternary borocarbides, R-T-B- C (R = Sc, Y, rare earth, U, Th; T = d-element), was one of the highli ghts of (MS)-S-2-HTSC-IV. Several exciting features in the properties of this family of materials, such as, high T-C for intermetallics, coe xistence of SC and magnetism with high T-C and T-N, have generated wid e interest. Some of our recent work along with other works from litera ture will be reviewed here.
