Abstract
Implications of a d(x2-y2) symmetry component of the order parameter f or the transport properties of grain boundaries in high-T-c supercondu ctors are discussed. Among other effects, the d(x2-y2) symmetry causes intrinsic weak links, inhomogeneous current distributions in the junc tions and reduced IcRa products.
