The electrical resistivity of NdBa2(Cu1-ZZnZ)(3)O7-y as a function of
temperature from 4.2K to room temperature and the thermal conductivity
of the samples in the temperature range from 4.2K to 120K have been m
easured. As is consistent vith the most previous reports, it shows tha
t the thermal conductivity of the samples exhibit a peak at a temperat
ure below T-c. The thermal conductivity of the electrons can be calcul
ated from the resistivity of sample, which is rather small than the ex
perimental results of the samples. Therefore, the main heat carriers a
re believed to be phonons. Then the measured thermal conductivity was
separated into electron and phonon contributions, and the phonon therm
al conductivity were analyzed by using the theory of Tewordt-Wolkhause
n.
