Results for the single-particle spectral function A((k) over bar,w) in
the planar t - J model, obtained by the numerical finite-temperature
method for small systems, are presented. At intermediate doping and at
low temperatures spectra show strong asymmetry between the hole and e
lectron part, and near the Fermi surface reveal the marginal Fermi-liq
uid form. An analytical approach, based on the equations of motion for
projected Green's functions and the decoupling approximation, reprodu
ces reasonably these features.
