Abstract
Deterministic analysis is becoming increasingly popular to study the t heoretical mechanisms of Sigma Delta modulation, as opposed to the cla ssical noise-shaping approach. This paper gives an overview of its app lication to the specific problem of signal reconstruction. Once an inp ut signal has been processed through a Sigma Delta modulator of given specifications, the fundamental question is to know what deterministic information can be retrieved about this signal from the Sigma Delta o utput, The paper summarizes all results obtained in this research unde r a unified presentation framework, (C) 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd .
