Abstract
We prepared the Bi2Sr2Can-1CunOy (BSCCO) single crystals by a self-nux method in various oxygen-reduced atmospheres. From the results, we fo und that the T-c of the BSCCO single crystals had a tendency to increa se with the ratios of oxygen to total gas flows during crystal growth, and that the plate-like BSCCO single crystals were prepared at the te mperature for melting of 950 degrees C using the starting material of Bi:Sr:Ca:Cu=2:1:1:2 and their typical size was about 5 x 2mm(2).
