Abstract
In this paper a new method to produce thick layers of YBa2Cu3O7 using Plasma Spray Technique (PST) is proposed. Good superconducting thick l ayers were prepared without bond-layer, buffer layer and annealing. Th e compound was deposited on a stainless steel substrate by a plasma sp ray torch using nitrogen as the working gas. The only heat treatment w as performed during the sample oxygenating process at 480 degrees C.
