Abstract
Top-seeding-melt-texturing (TSMT) process of YBa2Cu3O7 was investigate d. It was found that there exits a temperature-composition window for the stable growth of single-grain monoliths of diameter larger than 2c m with levitation forces of 15N/cm(2) and critical current density as high as 510(4)A/cm(2).
