Va. Murashov et al., PECULIARITIES OF TEXTURING OF Y-123 SINGLE-DOMAIN SAMPLES BY THE USE OF SM-123 SEED AND Y-211 SUBSTRATE, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 282, 1997, pp. 505-506
The advantages of the use of the Sm-123 seed and porous Y-211 substrat
e have been studied by melt texturing of large single domain Y-123 sam
ples. Only short range for development of single domain from the seed
with maximal rate has been found below the crystallization onset. The
reason for nucleation of the secondary domain is the accumulation of C
uO before crystallization front. The optimal size distribution of Y-21
1 inclusions provides Jc and trapped magnetic flux data of 65000 A/cm(
2) and above 850 Gs/cm(3), respectively, in large single domain sample
s.
