Abstract
The physical properties and the microstructure of highly textured cera mics, doped with platinum and/or cerium oxides were investigated durin g the texturing process, with different shapes and different processin g routes. Further improvement has consisted in identifying the exact i nfluence of several critical parameters like the powder quality or sin tered precursor microstructure, the melt textured growth processings, the additions of Y(2)BaCuO5 and the dopants.
