Abstract
The magnetic susceptibility of YBCO pellets monitored during the perit ectic recombination is used to establish a double dwell temperature pr ofile in order to overcome a multiple nucleation and favor a large sca le growth. The definition of an optimal melt texturing process is howe ver affected by the choice of the Y123 precursors.
