Abstract
Thermodynamics of an oxygen exchange with oxygen atmosphere have been investigated by thermogravimetry in the pressure range of 0.0001 - 100 bar. A defect structure model was used to describe the thermodynamics of the oxygen nonstoichiometry. Chemical diffusion was directly measu red during a low temperature (<325 degrees C) oxidation of oxygen defi cient powder samples. A ''moving boundary'' model of the oxidation was assumed for the characterisation of the chemical diffusion of oxygen.
