Abstract
We report on the investigation of the high pressure synthesis induced changes in the properties of T'-phase Pr2CuO4+/-delta and RE2-xPrxCuO4 +/-delta (RE=Gd, Eu, Sm, Nd) compounds. The results suggest the effect ive Pr valence state can become more than 3+ when prepared under stron gly oxidizing conditions.
