Abstract
The adsorption efficiency (Y) was measured for Ca and Sr during the sy nthesis of cuprate compounds belonging to the BSCCO and (Sr;Ca)CuO fam ilies. A strong variation of Y with the incident flux is observed. Thr ee distinct ranges of flux are described, which lead to very different growth processes. We developed a 2D lattice-gas simulation model whic h reproduces, qualitatively, this behaviour.
