Abstract
Superconducting Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-O thin films were prepared by thermal evap oration of BaF2, CaF2, and Cu components on MgO substrates followed by vacuum annealing of Ba-Ca-Cu precursors in dry oxygen and thallinatio n in flowing oxygen at atmospheric pressure. Dramatic structural chang es in synthesized films (stored in laboratory surroundings) accompanie d by an increase of the zero-resistivity T-c, were observed when exami nations were repeated in months cycles. Microstrips 16 mu m wide and 1 20-150 mu m long were made out of these films and their electrical de transport properties were investigated.
