Abstract
BaZrO3 is supposed to be an inert crucible or substrate material for Y Ba2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) superconductors. Therefore we grow single crystals o f BaZrO3 using the skull-melting technique and examine their interacti on with YBCO-flux. A very small reaction layer of (Ba,Zr,Cu)Ox is form ed; Zr can not be detected by EDX analysis in the flux volume.
