Y1-xPrxBa2Cu2.95Li0.05O7-delta and Y1-xPrxBa2Cu3O7-delta samples were
prepared and studied. It is found that the normalized Tc (Tc/Tc(max))
of Y1-xPrxBa2Cu2.95Li0.05O7-delta is higher than that of Y1-xPrxBa2Cu3
O7-delta for a fixed Pr content, indicating that the effect of the sup
erconductivity suppression by Pr doping becomes weaker in the Li-doped
system. Considering the Li substitution effect on the structural deta
ils, we explain the results in terms of Pr4f-O2p hybridization.
