Single crystals of the 1-x)A(x)Ba(2)Ca(m-2)Ba(2)Ca(m-2)Cu(m)O(2m+2+del
ta) family with A = Bi, Ti and Cu have been grown by a self-flux metho
d without using a dry box. The Bi m = 1 (T-c = 75 K), m = 2 (121K) and
m = 3 (131 K), Ti m = 3 (130 K) and Cu m = 1 (96 K) cyrstals have bee
n successfully synthesized. Their superconducting properties have been
compared and for the optimized Hg, Cu - 1201 crystal lambda(ab)(0) =
245 nm and gamma = 29 have been obtained.
