S. Belwal et Rv. Singh, BIOCHEMICAL-STUDIES ON ANTIMICROBIAL EFFECTIVE FLUORO-IMINE LIGANDS AND THEIR ORGANOTIN(IV) DERIVATIVES, Boletin de la Sociedad Chilena de Quimica, 42(3), 1997, pp. 363-370
Coordination behavior of fluoro-imines having NS and NO donor moieties
towards the diorganotin(IV) have been investigated. The unimolar and
bimolar reactions of diorgano tin(IV) chlorides with monobasic bidenta
te fluoro ligands resulted in the formation of coloured solids, which
have been characterized by elemental analysis, molecular weight determ
inations and conductance measurements. Structures of the resulting com
plexes have been proposed using IR, H-1, C-13 and Sn-119 NMR spectral
studies. The pathogenicity and virulence of certain microbial infectio
ns associated with ions of complexes have been found to be potent and
broad spectrum antibiotics. These results, made it desirable to deline
ate a comparison between ligands and their metal complexes.
