Abstract
The authors report six Tunisian new cases of rhino-orbital mucormycosi s diagnosed between 1992 and 1996 in patients with diabetic ketoacidos is. The diagnosis was confirmed by mycologic tests. The pathogenic age nt isolated in all the cases is Rhizopus arrhizus (R. oryzae). This in fection has a severe prognosis, our 6 patients died within a few days.
