S. Belhadj et al., PARTICULARITY OF INVASIVE PULMONARY ASPER GILLOSIS IN CHRONIC GRANULOMATOUS-DISEASE - ABOUT 2 TUNISIAN CASES, Journal de mycologie medicale, 7(3), 1997, pp. 166-168
The authors report two Tunisian cases of invasive pulmonary aspergillo
sis, one caused by Aspergillus fumigatus, the other by A. nidulans, ob
served in two children with chronic granulomatous disease: pathology c
haracterized by hereditary abnormality of oxydative response of phagoc
ytic cells, frequently complicated by Aspergillus infections. Despite
of a long therapy by amphotericin B and 5-fluorocystosine, the course
of the disease was rapid and fatal with bone destruction and extension
at skin of pulmonary lesions.
