Abstract
The Treasury Management Association (TMA) has conducted survey researc h to identify job responsibilities and knowledge items needed by profe ssionals engaged in treasury management. In addition, TMA's research d ocuments the informational needs of treasury executives, from analysts through chief financial officers. The results of this research sugges t that curricular opportunities exist for teaching topics of vital imp ortance to prospective employees in this profession. A major responsib ility reported by all respondents, including treasurers and chief fina ncial officers, is liquidity management, which is comprised of cash ma nagement, short-term borrowing, and short-term investing.
