A fast method for tile determination of chromium, cobalt, nickel in pr
eserved food is presented. Samples were dried and wet ashed and the el
ements in question were determined using atomic absorption spectrometr
y with electrothermal atomization (ETAAS) using two temperature progra
mmes. The use of the fast temperature programme which omits the ashing
of the sample makes possible to shorten three times the analysis time
. This method gives correct results when determining Cr, Ni and Co in
samples of preserved food.
