We present new measurements of the kinetics of polymerization near the
polymerization line of poly(a-methylstyrene) in the solvent tetrahydr
ofuran, initiated by sodium naphthalide or cesium naphthalide. We deve
lop a computer model of the kinetics of the reversible polymerization
of this system. We fit the model to the experimental data to obtain ra
te constants for propagation and depropagation.
