Abstract
The kinetic parameters (rate constants of coalescence similar to 10(-4 ) s(-1) and the activation energies similar to 30 kJ/mol) of the gravi tational destruction of foams stabilized with mixtures of gelatin and low-molecular-weight surfactants (cetylpiridinium chloride, CPC, and s odium dodecyl sulfate, SDS) were determined. The decisive role of the structural-rheological parameters of the adsorption layers of foam fil ms was demonstrated. The coefficients of linear correlation between th e structural-rheological parameters of foam films and the rate constan t of coalescence of foams were equal to 0.8-0.9.
