U. Vongunten et al., CHARACTERIZATION OF OZONATION PROCESSES WITH CONSERVATIVE AND REACTIVE TRACERS - PREDICTION OF THE DEGRADATION OF MICROPOLLUTANTS, Analusis, 25(7), 1997, pp. 29-31
Full-scale ozonation processes for drinking water production were char
acterized with a conservative (sodium chloride) and two reactive trace
rs (ozone, aqueous chlorine) to yield information about the hydraulics
and the oxidation capacity with respect to organic micropollutants. I
t has been shown by computer modelling that molecular kinetics can be
directly transferred to full-scale reactors to predict the fate of org
anic micropollutants.
