Abstract
With increasing efficacy and safety of surgical techniques of myocardi al revascularization prognostic accuracy of established predictors of risk of mortality became insufficient. Predictive potential of paramet ers of heart rate variability implicating mechanisms of regulation of cardiovascular system was investigated in this study. Working characte ristics of predictors of mortality in early period after coronary arte ry bypass surgery were calculated and comparison of various risk facto rs was conducted. Parameters of heart rate variability reflecting reac tions of patients to really undergone stresses were better predictors of mortality after coronary artery bypass surgery than left ventricula r ejection fraction or NYHA functional class. High informative power o f regression model incorporating low frequency power component of hear t rate variability and estimate of the state of coronary vascularity w as demonstrated.
