Abstract
TWO CASES OF chronic spinal cord abscess are reported, and the relevan t literature is reviewed with emphasis on the last 20 cases. Presentat ion, cause, modern diagnostic testing, operative findings, treatment c hoices, and prognosis are all discussed. Significant changes in the pr esentation, management, and outcome in these more recent cases are emp hasized.
