Abstract
For linear descriptor systems of the form E(x) over dot = Ax + Bu, the different kinds of controllability are analyzed by graph-theoretic me ans. Starting from known algebraic criteria, digraph conditions for st ructural r-controllability, structural impulse controllability, and st ructural complete controllability are derived. A nontrivial electrical example system illustrates the application of the results. (C) 1997 E lsevier Science Inc.
