Abstract
The results of experimental investigations are compared by the heat-tr ansfer coefficients under conditions of continuous air Bow past plates , made from a number of structural materials (stainless steel, copper) and having the surface modified by the method of ion-atomic depositio n of zirconium, and past analogous specimens with unmodified surface. It is shown that, for the specimens with modified surface and the thic kness of deposited coat of 0.5 to 1 mcm, the heat transfer coefficient may be approximately 16-22% less than in the case of conventional spe cimens. Under the same conditions, the coefficient of heat transfer to a regular surface of technically pure zirconium does not differ from the heat transfer coefficient in the case of air flow along the unmodi fied surface of stainless steel.
