The paper describes the results of calculation of spectral and integra
l radiative heat fluxes in the vicinity of fireballs formed as a resul
t of explosions of rockets fired with oxygen-kerosene fuel of the tota
l mass of 400 t. Two numerical methods are used in the calculations, n
amely, the P-1 approximation of the spherical harmonics method and the
Monte Carlo method. It is shown that distances on the order of 1 km f
rom the explosion site are dangerous from the standpoint of radiation
heat load.
