E. Radeva et al., HUMIDITY ADSORPTIVE PROPERTIES OF THIN FULLERENE LAYERS STUDIED BY MEANS OF QUARTZ MICRO-BALANCE, Sensors and actuators. B, Chemical, 42(1), 1997, pp. 11-13
Thin fullerene layers were deposited on quartz resonators with thickne
ss-shear vibrations by direct sublimation of C-60 from fullerene conta
ining soot. Humidity adsorptive properties of the fullerene layers wer
e studied making use of the resonators' mass sensitivity. These layers
possess high humidity sensitivity and short response time under cycli
c changes of air humidity. This makes them applicable to creating a ne
w sensor for measuring relative air humidity. (C) 1997 Elsevier Scienc
