H. Denouden et al., PREFERENCE AND NON-PREFERENCE EXPERIMENTS WITH AERIAL REPELLENTS AGAINST DELIA-RADICUM L. (DIPT., ANTHOMYIIDAE) IN A WIND-TUNNEL, Journal of applied entomology, 121(5), 1997, pp. 275-279
In wind tunnel experiments with Delia radicum the dosage increase effi
ciency of the repellent salicylaldehyde was studied under preference a
nd non-preference conditions. In micro field experiments in the tunnel
the influence of the repellent on oviposition was measured using diff
erent application methods. A concentration of about 43 ng salicylaldeh
yde/l of air reduced oviposition c. 80%.
