Abstract
The alkylation of phenol with methanol over H beta zeolite has been st udied. The transformation of primary products of the title reaction wa s also studied. Anisole was found to be unstable primary product, whic h was also an important reaction intermediate. On the basis of experim ental results, a reaction scheme on H beta was suggested.
