The use of Green's function satisfying a linear Kelvin boundary condit
ion on the undisturbed free surface in Naval Hydrodynamics has been, f
or a long time, very limited owing to the numerical difficulties requi
ring long computational time and the difficulty of the calculus of the
waterline integral dealing with the derivatives of the doublet distri
bution. A panel method, Computing Green's function and its first deriv
atives from table interpolation and using a special technique to compu
te the waterline integral for a lifting or non-lifting boat, is presen
ted. Results on yawed surface-piercing bodies, where the Kutta-Joukovs
ky condition is satisfied by an iterative procedure, and on the Wigley
hull are given.
