Abstract
We report on the effects of oxygen-doping and hydrostatic pressure on the vortex lattice melting (VLM) and the peak effect (PE) in Bi2Sr2CaC u2O8+y. Both oxygen doping and hydrostatic pressure shift these phase boundaries towards higher fields. This change is understood by conside ring the fact that these processes reduce the anisotropy of the system . PE is found to show a non-monotonic temperature dependence in sample s with small anisotropy.
