The theory of thermal-assisted-flux flow in an infinite length specime
n of superconductor, with rectangle cross-section, is discussed by usi
ng somewhat different in the mathematical method rather than the conve
ntional one. The formalism is also extended to the one-dimensional cas
e. The results of our formalism are consistent with that obtained by K
es et al. The pinning potential and the crossover from TAFF to Flux Cr
eep regime for the Pb-doped mercury copper oxide superconductor with n
ominal composition of Hg0.69Pb0.31Ba2Ca2CU3O8+delta were studied exper
imentally by means of ac magnetic susceptibility responses with a bias
of de field parallels to the longitudinal axis of the sample.
