Abstract
We fabricated vertical YBa2Cu3O7-y/PrGaO3/YBa2Cu3O7-y (SIS) tunnel jun ctions by using YBCO films on STO(100) substrate. The current-voltage characteristics and conductance-voltage characteristics of the junctio ns with various barrier thicknesses were measured. In the junction wit h about 60nm thick barrier, the peaks of conductance indicative of gap -like structures were found at about +/-35mV. The temperature dependen ce of the voltage peak agreed with that of the BCS energy gap.
