Abstract
A comparison of secular sea-level changes on the Rhone Delta and in th e Marseilles area is used to estimate the long-term trend of sea-level rise and the subsidence movements affecting the deltaic margin. The l ong-term trend is associated with cyclic variations induced by the cli matic variability. The increase in the risk of flooding for the future is analysed.
