Abstract
Pottia x andalusica nothosp.nov. Ros & Oliva a taxon with gametophyte and spores clearly belonging to Pottia starckeana (Hedw.) C. Mull. but with cleistocarpous sporophytes is described. In the same samples Pot tia bryoides (Dicks.) Mitt. (Phascum bryoides Dicks.), the probably ma le parental, has been recorded. The identity of various taxa which pre sent intermediate characters between Pottia and Phascum and related wi th the described hybrid are discussed.
