Abstract
In this paper, thin films of mixed conducting glasses from the V2O3-B2 O3 system to be used as electrodes in microbatteries were first invest igated. Ionically conducting glasses were then studied for use in mult ilayer sensing systems (microsensors). Na2O-Al2O3-SiO2 glasses were ch osen as the Na+ sensitive membrane while the NaI-Ag2O-B2O3-P2O5 glasse s were used as ionic bridges placed in between the sensitive thin film and the collector and were corresponding to a ''pseudo internal refer ence''.
