Abstract
Activation cross-sections have been measured and deduced for 59 (n,alp ha) reactions in the 14 MeV range. The systematics in the sigma(n,alph a) data, especially the isotopic dependence could be improved. New est imated data are given for the production of long-lived isotopes and fo r the total sigma(n,alpha), values of some elements at (14.7 +/- 0.2) MeV. Helium emission cross sections derived from the isotopic data for 26 elements agree well in most cases with the available direct measur ements. Spectrum averaged (n,alpha) cross sections were measured for 9 reactions in Be(d,n) neutron field at E-d= 9.72 MeV. Results were com pared with the ENDF-B/VI and IRDF 90 data files for testing for the va lidation of the differential data. The isometric cross section ratio h as also been measured and deduced for some (n,cc) reactions at 14.7 Me V. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
