The incidence of nonmelanoma skin cancer has risen to epidemic proport
ions. It is crucial for all surgeons working in this area to be famili
ar with all of the methods and techniques currently available to treat
these skin cancers. This article presents and describes a highly effe
ctive surgical method of treatment known as Mohs' micrographic surgery
. The actual technique is presented in great detail, and the indicatio
ns and limitations of this highly specialized procedure are outlined.
