Abstract
The paper considers results of an infra-red imaging study of the dynam ics of change in the brightness-temperature field of surface forest fi res in laboratory settings. The dynamics of certain characteristics (c ombustion-front velocity, flame size, total energy, etc.) and change i n the brightness-temperature field are analyzed. The procedure of esta blishing a correlation between the thermodynamic and brightness temper atures is discussed.
