Even-parity configuration system of TiI has been considered on the bas
is of the experimental data available in literature. The fine structur
e analysis has been performed with the aid of a linked-parameter metho
d of level-fitting calculations in a large multiconfiguration basis. F
ine structure parameters have been determined and precise wavefunction
s of even energy levels have been evaluated. Appropriate pseudorelativ
istic Hartree-Fock ab initio calculations of fine structure parameters
have been presented for comparison purposes. Configuration interactio
n effects on even-parity configurations have been discussed.
