Abstract
This paper discusses the question of how wind waves affect the results of the bathymetry of a marine medium by means of airborne lidar. It i s shown that the variance of the surface slopes and elevations needs t o be taken into account in determining the spatial resolution of the d evice. For these purposes, it is proposed to introduce an optical rada r capable of measuring the statistical characteristics of the shape of the marine surface by a remote method into the instrumental complex a s a supplementary channel.
