Abstract
Spatial beam cleanup of a distorted cw Nd:YAG laser operating at lambd a = 1.06 mu m is demonstrated with two-wave mixing in an infrared-sens itive rhodium-doped barium titanate crystal. Because of the high coupl ing gain of our crystal, high efficiencies are achieved in agreement w ith the standard photorefractive model. (C) 1997 Optical Society of Am erica.
