Abstract
Matrix effects in the instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) of naturally occurring samples were studied with the use of thermal an d resonance reactor neutrons. The advantages and limitations of INAA w ere assessed by experimental data on the gamma spectra of radionuclide s of individual elements and the numerical models of gamma spectra for samples of a given composition.
