Ng. Vanifatova et By. Spivakov, ELECTROMIGRATION BEHAVIOR OF PALLADIUM 2,2'-DIPYRIDYLATE AND ITS SEPARATION FROM SOME TRANSITION-METAL IONS BY CAPILLARY-ZONE-ELECTROPHORESIS, Journal of analytical chemistry, 52(10), 1997, pp. 999-1004
The effects of pH and 2,2'-dipyridyl, chloride, and hexadecyltrimethyl
ammonium bromide concentrations in the running buffer as well as the e
ffects of the applied voltage on the electromigration behavior and pea
k shape of palladium dipyridylate were examined. The selectivity of se
parating Pd(II), Co(II), Co(III), Cu(II), Fe(II), and Ni(II) dipyridyl
ates and the possibilities of controlling it by varying the compositio
n of the running buffer were considered. The best separating condition
s were found for the metal ions examined, except for the Fe(II)-Ni(II)
pair. The electromigration behavior of dipyridylates was explained fr
om the standpoint of coordination chemistry.
