Abstract
A 38-year-old patient with a grade 3 testicular varicocele was treated by antegrade scrotal sclerotherapy. Although performed technically ac curate, antegrade sclerotherapy led to a haemorrhagic infarction of th e testis by complete occlusion of venous drainage. The testis had to b e removed. This complication has not been described yet and patients s hould be informed about this rare event.
